The procedure and application of the ReSurFX procedure generally varies based on the area being treated and the extent of treatment being provided. In most cases, the procedure takes around 30 minutes to one hour.
During your initial consultation, Dr. Bonakdar will determine if you need any type of pretreatment skincare before undergoing ReSurFX treatments. Patients are advised not to wear make-up on the day of their treatments and remember to apply plenty of sunscreen after the treatment. To prepare for the actual application, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area.
After your procedure, you should see a visible improvement in your skin. This will continue to develop over time as collagen production is stimulated and new elastin and fibers are built within your skin cells.
You’ll see greater improvements with more procedures. Treatments are recommended every three to four weeks until you see the desired results. From there, you can expect them to last up to two years with proper skin maintenance and care.
