Botox FAQs

How Long Will My Botox Results Last?

Dr. Bonakdar believes in using precise dosing to achieve the best results and the longest duration. In Dr. Bonakdar’s hands, your Botox Cosmetic results usually last three to four months. Under-dosing Botox treatments will produce mediocre results that last a shorter interval than expected. If your results are not lasting three to four months, it may be that you are not getting the right dose. If you are unhappy with your Botox Cosmetic results, it may be time to choose a new physician based on results rather than on price. Botox Cosmetic has one of the highest patient satisfaction rates as compared to other aesthetic procedures. But just like everything else in life, you get what you pay for even when it comes to Botox Cosmetic!

How Often Should I Have Treatments?

Dr. Bonakdar highly recommends that you pre-book your Botox Cosmetic appointments every three to four months instead of waiting for your results to completely wear off before retreatment. Regular treatments prevent the emotional trauma of seeing your wrinkles return. Also, regular retreatments weaken the treated facial muscles, preventing lines and wrinkles from getting etched into your skin.

When Should I Start Botox Treatments?

The new philosophy in aesthetics is to prevent aging before it occurs. Dr. Bonakdar is on board with this philosophy and has coined the term “Prejuvenation”. Starting Botox Cosmetic treatments in your 20’s and 30’s weakens the facial muscles that lead to etched in facial lines and wrinkles when left untreated. It’s all about preventing aging and staying youthful and ageless forever. “The 40 to 60-year-olds of the future are going to look much younger than the 40 to 60-year-olds of the past!” says Dr. Bonakdar.

What Are My Post Treatment Instructions?

– Do not lay down or hold your head in an asymmetrical position for four hours after your treatment
– Do not exercise on the day of treatment

Is it Normal to be Nervous for my First Appointment?

The top three objections to aesthetic procedures even among aesthetically oriented individuals are:

  • Fear of unnatural results
  • Fear of pain
  • Fear of bruising and downtime

Three Questions to Ask When Choosing Your Botox Doctor

Warren Buffett says: “Price is what you pay. Value is what you get!” No one wants to overpay for a service. But forgoing results and safety just to get a “cheap deal” is foolish. You have one face for the rest of your life and it deserves the best, not the cheapest rejuvenation options! Trust your face to a physician based on her expertise and her ability to guide you through your entire aesthetic journey.

1. Who will perform my treatment?
At our Newport office, Dr. Bonakdar is the only one injecting you!

2. What is the provider’s experience with Botox?
According to The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Bonakdar injects five times more Botox than the average plastic surgeon and dermatologist yearly. This high volume has placed her in the top 500 Allergan Partners in the nation out of 15,000 Allergan physicians.

3. How do I get a hold of the office after hours if I have a problem?
As a Bonakdar Institute patient, you are given Dr. Bonakdar’s cell phone number as well as Dr. Bonakdar’s assistant’s cell phone number. With that said, Bonakdar Institute receives almost no calls after hours, because your needs are anticipated and the office staff follows up with you after every appointment.
