I often say that my career purpose and my greatest joy are to transform my clients into youthful and beautiful, natural versions of themselves, thus, increasing their happiness and self-confidence. So, it seemed fitting to ask what exactly is self-confidence?
Self-confidence involves both feelings and actions. It is how someone thinks about herself as well as how she responses to life challenges.
Self-confidence means that you value yourself regardless of your previous mistakes, that you feel good about yourself despite your imperfections, that you acknowledge and accept your strengths and your weaknesses. It also means that you have the courage to assert yourself and navigate what life throws at you believing that you can overcome challenges.
A lack of self-confidence negatively impacts our quality of life. It creates feelings of self-doubt, unworthiness, inferiority to others, apathy, loss of enjoyment and even anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.
In contrast, boosting self-confidence creates a sense of inner peace, a feeling of being complete, an awareness and acceptance of one’s strengths and limitations, and the ability to create and experience happiness.
Is it any wonder that making someone more beautiful on the outside by reversing her aging changes, has such a profound and positive effect on the way she feels on the inside? I can’t possibly transform my clients into supermodels in the span of an office appointment. But the incremental improvements that I do create, makes them feel good about themselves and brings their focus to the many strengths that they possess regardless of their ongoing aging. This boost of self-confidence thus improves their quality of life and sets them up for more wins and successes. This is my calling and the reason that I am so passionate about my work.
