TRUSTED EXPERT DELIVERING
Would you believe me if I told you there is a mathematical formula for beautiful brows? Well there is. And it has to do with PHI. Even though our faces change with aging, the distance between the eyes otherwise known as the inner canthal distance
The Phi or the multiple of 1.618 of this distance appears twice in brow mathematics. Once as the perfect measurement between the inner corner of the eye to the highest point of the brow. And again as the perfect length for the brow. Many faces that we admire as being beautiful in Orange County, have a naturally high arched brow in the perfect position. Also beautiful brows tips are in line with the inner canthal location.
What happens if the brow is not in the right spot? It can be manipulated non-surgically and raised or lowered to a more mathematically beautiful position.
The position of the brow depends on several key structures of the upper face. Brows sit on top of the bony brow prominence. With aging this bony prominence gets smaller which makes the brows sag down and automatically look old. Contributing to the sag is also loss of the soft tissue all around the brow namely in the temple, forehead and upper lid. Further worsening the situation is the over activity of the muscles around the eye that pull the tip of the brow downward with squinting movements.
There are several solutions in my tool box to elevate the brow to its more youthful position. I start with Botox to stop the tail of the brow from pulling down with squinting movements. Then I assess the volume loss that has occurred around the brow and replace it with tiny amounts of filler above the brow, right under the brow, on the upper lid and on the temples.
It seems that beautiful brows are all about math. And Brow restoration through reflation and contouring recreates harmony, balance and better proportion.
